Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Calinsight, a macOS application provided by Magus Inc. ("we", "us"), and to its website, www.calinsight.com.

Calinsight reads and writes your calendars and reminders only on your Mac. Nothing about your schedule leaves the device, and we collect no data through the app. For the anonymous statistics collected on this website, see About this website.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or transmit any of the following through Calinsight:

• Your events and reminders, including their titles, dates, locations and attendees
• Your name, email address, or anything else that could identify you
• Usage data, interaction history, crash logs, device identifiers or advertising identifiers

Calinsight contains no analytics and no crash reporting, and uses no third-party SDKs.

How your calendars and reminders are used

Calinsight uses the macOS EventKit framework to work with the calendars and reminders you have granted access to.

• Reading — to display them and to count them in the dashboards
• Writing — when you create, edit or delete an event or reminder in the app

Both happen entirely on your Mac. If your calendars sync with iCloud or another account, that syncing is performed by macOS and does not go through Calinsight. You can withdraw access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Settings stored on your Mac

Your preferences — which calendars are shown, the background colors, the current filter — are stored in the standard macOS preferences area. They remain on the device and are never transmitted. The contents of your schedule are not stored.

About network access

Calinsight has permission to access the network, but it is used solely to verify your App Store purchase (receipt validation through StoreKit). This verification is performed with Apple and contains nothing from your calendars.

Sharing with third parties

Because we collect no data through the app, there is nothing to share with third parties. We do not sell or share this website's statistics with third parties either. We show no advertising.

Children's privacy

Calinsight does not collect information from users of any age.

About this website

To understand which pages are read and to keep them fast, this website uses Web Analytics and Speed Insights from Vercel Inc., our hosting provider.

• What is measured — the page viewed, the referring page, country or region, browser, operating system, device type, page-load performance, and actions on the page (such as selecting the download button or the contact link, and how far down the page you scrolled)
• No cookies — visitors are distinguished by a value derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours
• Anonymous — the data is aggregated so that no individual can be identified, and we cannot identify individual visitors. It is not used for advertising or tracking
